Oh the City of Brotherly love. The land of fierce Wawa defenders, vest wearers, and American liberty. Oh and the best pretzels I’ve eaten in my 22.5 years of existence. Personally I think the city is slightly underrated. Many see it as a just a point along the way between DC to NYC. However, I always greatly enjoy my trips to Pennsylvania and have made a fair number over the years. This weekend I went back and did a 48 hours in Philadelphia whirlwind trip and wanted to share some photos!
Philadelphia has a certain level of quirky charm to it which I don’t think you get until you visit. Maybe I’ve had the benefit of local tour guides (family, friends, etc..) but really, you don’t have to go far to find great things to do. And a special shout out to the weather gods for blessing me with sunny, beautiful, and cool temperatures this weekend. Besides revisiting a few favorites, I try to make a point to see new things each time as well. This time around I can check off riding the SEPTA (public transportation), visiting the harbor, and enjoying a street festival with a somewhat eclectic crowd! (Think slightly more extra versions of them.) Without further ado, here’s a photo diary of my trip.
48 Hours in Philadelphia:
Have you spent time in Philly? If not, I hope my “48 Hours in Philadelphia” inspired you to consider adding it to your list. I have to say…I’ve enjoyed every trip I’ve made! This time around was a fun summer break from the hustle and bustle of the DC life. To the city I somehow find my way back to, until another time
