Good afternoon! Well first off, sorry for going sort of AWOL on you guys this month, its been hectic with finals and finishing out the semester. Now I’m anxiously awaiting for grades to go up. In the mean time, I realized I’ve had this blog nearly 7 months and never did an official “get to know the blogger” post. I love interacting with my readers, so I figure it’s time to do a little post on 10 things about me, the blogger behind PensivePalindrome!
I am an avid concert goer.
I’ve attended 50+ concerts and seen over 100+ artists/bands live over the years. I first got alternative/pop punk music in middle school. And ever since, I patiently waited for bands I loved to come to town and of course summer concert festivals. I have see The Maine, my favorite band, 7 times. While the number of concerts I’ve gone to considerably waned the past couple years, I love live music.
Although I always write with my left hand usually… I am technically ambidextrous.
I never notice whether a computer mouse is on the left or right etc. In fact, when I played tennis, I favored both hands pretty equally.
My favorite color is purple.
Reading about European history is one of my favorite past times.
My personal favorite periods are Tudor England, the modern Balkans and the breakup of Yugoslavia, and the Russian Revolution.
In my book, breakfast food at any hour is acceptable.
Like everyone else where I live, brunch = a staple of the weekend. And breakfast food any time of day is right.
I have never been to the West Coast.
While I’ve been up and down the East Coast from Maine to Florida, I’ve never been further west than Chicago.
My first job was at a movie theater.
I served concessions and ushered people into shows for almost 2 years. So ask me any movie between 2012-2013 and I probably saw it in theaters for free.
I always have my nails painted.
It would be an extremely rare day I would be caught with bare nails. In all honesty, I love make up and beauty products. In case you couldn’t tell from my blog 🙂
My birthday is New Years Eve
(so less than 2 weeks away hooray!)
I collect Wade Figurines.
You know the little figurines in the Red Rose Tea? I started collecting them years ago on flea market trips with my family and built quite an extensive collection. The one I am still missing is the elusive gingerbread man who I’m determined to find one day.
