As someone whose experienced everything from charming Slovenian hotels to tiny New York City rooms to hostels in Prague, I know one of the biggest parts of trip planning is finding the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploration. After researching where to stay in Montreal, Alexa and I settled on the Hotel Omni Mont Royal for our four day trip to Canada! With a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and central location, we opted to stay all three nights at this beautiful four-star hotel. The Hotel Omni Mont Royal boasts modern comfort and luxury on all 31 floors and in its 299 rooms, after undergoing a $20 million renovation in recent years. When traveling in such a short period of time we definitely sought out a hotel in a convenient part of the city. The Hotel Omni is located in the Golden Square’s Mile End neighborhood- a lively area surrounded by restaurants and shopping. As two women traveling on our own, the safety of the neighborhood also factored into our choice. Situated right near McGill University, the surrounding area felt completely safe whether waiting outside or going for dinner at night. Furthermore, the hotel’s central location makes accessing different neighborhoods and attractions easy.
Hotel Omni Mont Royal Review:
Walking in, the lobby felt immediately inviting thanks to the warm lighting, crackling fireplace, and cheery greeting from the doorman. We promptly checked in a little after the check-in time (3:00), in a hassle-free, friendly process.
Coming into the room, we marveled at the spaciousness of our accommodation. Our room had two full beds, a television, and beautiful view overlooking the city. With plenty of space and closet room, unpacking and storing our luggage was a breeze. The immense counter space in the marble bathroom also made sharing the bathroom extra easy for two makeup-loving girls. Moreover, the room was meticulously clean when we came in, and each night we came back.
As I mentioned earlier, the beds here are heavenly. Ahh. Besides the overall chic vibe of the hotel, the beds are the highlight here! Laying and sleeping in them is similar to burrowing into a cloud for the night…so important after 12+ hours out and about. Furthermore, every floor holds only 12 rooms and we enjoyed quiet noise-free sleep. Another big treat here was the view from our spoton the 28th floor. We got to see the spectacular sight of Montreal lit up at night from the comfort of our room.
After returning the first night, we found a lovely tray of candied nuts, macaroons, and fruit delivered to our room. Alongside it, we found a hand-addressed note by their loyalty ambassador, offering assistance for anything and his contact information . I think these personal touches are a testament to the Hotel Omni’s commitment to hospitality. Throughout our stay, I say with confidence we received attentive service. Whether a question about billing to check-out at 6am, employees greeted and helped us out!
If you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of Montreal, whether for business or leisure, the Hotel Omni is a great choice. With its recently renovated space, it is a clean, quiet, and sophisticated place to stay. From the moment we walked in, we felt the inviting atmosphere and the room we stayed in for three nights was a real treat! Between the great location, comfort, and modern amenities it gets a two thumbs up from me!
