Review of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in SunDipped
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sun Dipped contains four shades of warm-leaning beautiful highlighters. The kit is perfect for adding a summery, iridescent glow to one’s look. The item comes in square, flat, cardboard packaging that feels quite sturdy and protective. Each pan is quite large, almost the size of my palm, so price-wise it’s quite reasonable! The finely milled powders are all easy to blend and it’s quite apparent this is good quality. The powders feel almost velvety to the touch, and aren’t chunky or too dry. Furthermore, the pigmentation is amazing on all four shades!
Overall, I found the product flattering on my skin- it did not emphasize pores or make me look too oily. However, application is important. If you don’t concentrate the highlight where you want with the right brush or technique, you do risk it kind of splaying onto other parts of the face. In terms of wear time, I find them to be moderately long lasting. For reference, I apply makeup before work, and after a commute, a short walk in a humid climate, and time in the office I fiound by mid afternoon they’ve begun to noticeably fade. So total wear time on me is about 5-6 hours. What’s great is you can keep to a more subtle sheen or build your look up with a stronger highlight. The kit is versatile and works for either type of look.
Swatches of Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Sun Dipped:
As you can see by the swatches, the shades are quite warm. Sun Dipped offers shades a bit dark than their previous releases in the line and is definitely flattering on medium to deep skin. If you have lighter skin check out the kit in “That Glow”. All four shades are wearable for an everyday look or a more dressy night out. Tourmaline, a warm shimmery taupe, deserves a special mention as it’s such a unique color (in a good way!). While I’m still playing around with it, I’m finding it works best as a multi-tasking bronzer/highlight. Additionally, Summer and Moonstone appear quite similar when applied.
Note: I personally purchased this item with my own money and all pictures and opinions are my own.
